Hourly Wage Plus TipsThe SipIT Shift Leader oversees production, services, or operations in the absence of the general manager. They may address employee concerns, make decisions, and troubleshoot if problems arise. Shift Leaders may perform the same tasks as employees while having the authority to manage co-workers in the absence of the general manager.Shift Leaders are responsible for resolving issues and ensuring work is completed on schedule within a shift. Shift Leaders report to the General Manager.The Shift Leader performs all the duties of the Sipologist:· Accurately and efficiently take customer orders.· Check customer identification to verify legal drinking age.· Answer customer questions about products.· Accept payments.· Calculate and return change when required.· Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change.· Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts.· Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic daiquiris.· Mix ingredients to prepare daiquiris.· Lift, restock, and replenish inventory, products, and supplies that may weigh approximately 35 pounds.· Report issues with equipment.· Comply with all food and beverage regulations.· Consistently follow cleaning and sanitation standards.· Consistently follow procedures and policies.In addition to the duties of the Sipologist, the Shift Leader’s responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:· Support manager to achieve financial objectives.· Support manager with all aspects of inventory.· Support manager with all aspects of operations.· Meet with management to review goals and metrics.· Responsible for front-door key and is well-versed in opening and closing processes.· Lead pre-shift meetings and ensure employees are provided with and understand the goals for that shift.· Delegate to and assign team members with necessary tasks to be completed each shift.· Foster a positive, productive working environment.· Ensure all breaks are given and labor goals are met.· Close out shift and perform end-of-day processes.· Ensure product quality before delivery to guest.· Properly resolve problems and troubleshoot issues as they arise without the direction of management, including handling customer complaints and concerns.· Manage multiple projects as well as staff members.· Maintain a work environment that meets company, state, and federal safety and employment guidelines. · Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications:· Minimum of 2 years’ prior experience in food service and/or alcohol service.· Ability to calculate sales and change quickly.· Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts.· Excellent verbal communication.· Excellent customer service skills paired with a positive, can-do attitude.· Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and find solutions.· Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.· Ability to coach, train, and motivate employees.· Ability to operate a cash register and POS system.· Ability to stand for long periods.· Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.· Possess an advanced understanding of restaurant and alcohol service operations.· Possess excellent basic math skills.· Must be at least 18 years of age.· Must possess or obtain food handler certification.· Must possess or obtain TABC certification.
