The Diesel Fleet Mechanic III performs maintenance tasks for company assets and assists maintenance staff with overhauling minor components and installing replacements, with electrical, hydraulic and computer diagnostics and with scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance. This position also responds to service and road calls.
At least three years of experience in maintenance of diesel fleet vehicles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Effective time management skills
Complete repair lists and submit to the supervisor or special events lead.
Perform minor repair work to portable units, including removing and replacing signage.
Maintain a clean work area.
Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspection, make sure the cab is clean and the Vehicle Condition Report (VCR) is turned in at the end of each shift.
Written and verbal communication skills in English
Valid Class C driver’s license
Safe driving record for the past three years
Completion of 3 of the following
DOT Inspectors License
ASE Certification in 2 exams T1-T8 (Additional completions count toward additional certification requirements)
Mack Online Training Path, Technician Level A
Meritor Bullpen AND Stemco Curriculum
Allison, McNeilus, Cummins, Mack or Paccar Certification (Additional completions count toward additional certification requirements)
