Boat Town Burger Bar- The Premier Restaurant on Lake LBJ- seeking Manager
Boat Town Burger Bar- The Premier Restaurant on Lake LBJ, serving up gourmet burgers, live music and a full bar â seeking Kitchen Manager. As a Kitchen Manager you will supervise daily back of house restaurant operations. Kitchen Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to training and supervising the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage our kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time. Ultimately, you will ensure all plates are properly cooked and served and our customers have a pleasant dining experience.

Essential Duties:
Responsible for consistency and high quality of all food products as well as customer service.
Responsible for all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period by utilizing company systems such as prep lists, pars, and recipe yields.
Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
Responsible for organization and cleanliness of all areas and aspects of kitchen; including but not limited to receiving of all food storage areas; this includes proper labeling and rotation of all ingredients to prevent food waste.
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection.
Responsible for controlling weekly, quarterly, and annual inventory.
Will uphold all ServSafe guidelines.
May be required to perform tasks outside of job description when needed. This includes but is not limited to helping any kitchen staff in any capacity when able, working on unscheduled days, working long days, or not having consecutive days off.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of kitchen management experience
6+ months experience managing budgets and culinary cost controls
Working knowledge of company software including Microsoft Office and Aloha.
Ability to oversee a team of 10+ BOH staff
Ability to develop constructive working and interpersonal relationships with colleagues and customers
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Service orientation and excellent organizational skills
Active listening and effective communication competencies
Good physical condition
Food safety training will be considered an asset.
Requirements:
-Punctuality, team player attitude, and reliability is required for this position.
-Food Handlers Certificate â Food Manager preferred
-Team Oriented and Self Starter Attitude
