We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Technician at our student property, University Club Apartments, located in San Marcos, Texas. This is a full-time position reporting directly to our Area Property Manager.

What You Will be Doing

• Responsible for making apartments move-in ready for new tenants

• Repairing and installing sinks, commodes and facets

• Repairing and installing drywall

• Caulking and painting

• Maintaining inventory for cost effective operations

• Repairing and replacing appliances

• Installation of water heaters

• Basic HVAC repairs

• Monitor gauges, trash, pets, and property common areas

• Flexibility to respond to calls and requests from tenants, which may include evenings and weekends

• Responsibly for completing work orders from The Property Manager

• Daily upkeep of grounds, landscaping and common areas

• Complete other projects and activities as assigned by The Property Manager

What is Preferred for Success

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• High School Diploma or GED

• Maintain a high level of customer service

• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision

• Act with integrity

• Strong decision maker

• HVAC certification/experience preferred

• Make ready experience

• Electrical and plumbing experience

• CPO certification is a plus

• Excellent attention to details

• Exceptional organization/multi-tasking skills
