Overview and Essential FunctionsUnder the general supervision of the Manager, the IT Support Specialist will provide first line support to end users on a variety of IT issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and end user requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors support issues to ensure a timely resolution. This role supports the company’s internal and external clients on a vast array of technical products and/or services. The Support Specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing technical products in an effort to resolve problems while using their technical expertise and the company’s diagnostic tools. Instruct users on the operation of PC equipment/end user devices and internally developed application programs in an individual or group environment
Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports while prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
Coordinate information technology needs within various departments with appropriate planning, monitoring, and execution
Work with enterprise IT Support department to resolve IT related issues as necessary
Perform remote PC/end user device support
Basic server/network support
Inter-act & maintain compliance with customer owned portals
Image PC’s/laptops in accordance with Texstar Communications standards
Maintains familiarity with latest technology developments and techniques while supporting the roll-out of new applications
Inventory management of IT hardware and software
General PC and hardware maintenance
Intermediate Active Directory users and computers management
Provide cell phone and Smartphone configuration and support with knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) software
Provide documentation of systems, device configurations and procedures
Maintain Zoom IP phone configurations while providing end users with support and training
Travel to job sites as necessary for workstation and connectivity configuration and support
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
Technical certifications preferred
Minimum 3 years of IT service and support experience
Strong Google enterprise competencies
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Ability to maintain familiarity with IT technologies
Problem solving and troubleshooting of workstations and connectivity issues
Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Technical and end user documentation
