Licensing Account Manager (IL/IA)

Come join our team in the role of Licensing Account Manager ! The Licensing Account Manager (AM) represents Corteva Agriscience as the primary business contact with independent seed companies and national/regional retail accounts to advance Corteva trait and genetics licensing business, meet financial objectives, drive impactful business relationships and establish and capitalize on new markets and technologies. This position will cover Western Iowa and Eastern Illinois.What You'll Do:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts, genetic suppliers and industry influencers.

Establish trust with customers that Corteva is a viable long-term, reliable supplier of traits and genetics.

Create demand for new traits prior to market launch.

Become a trusted advisor for key leadership within accounts and establish yourself as a thought leader to further enable your ability to influence decision-making.

Implement and execute comprehensive call strategies aligned to size of account and current relationship status, collaborating with Key Account Managers at retail as needed.

Facilitate the development and strengthening of relationships between Corteva and accounts at various levels within each organization.

Develop and deliver annual sales objectives which are aligned with U.S. financial targets for all assigned accounts.

In conjunction with business leader, develop longer view business plans that include market share growth, forecasting, introduction of competitive innovation and potential impact to Corteva strategies.

Evaluate and quantify new market opportunities. Work through established screening protocols to determine potential fit and make recommendations to leadership regarding opportunity.

Provide timely communication to customers to insure complete understanding of pricing, terms, programs, program deadlines, regulatory changes, etc.

Manage the delivery of learning opportunities through a variety of blended learning approaches, ensuring that all have the necessary skills and information needed to meet Corteva expectations.

Work with operations team to assist in managing business agreements and ensure customer compliance (specifically product stewardship and fulfillment of contractual obligations)

Communicate value proposition and negotiate competitive allowances as needed.

Work within account management team to help effectively design and implement specific grow and defend strategies.

Coordinate customer activities to provide support & strengthen relationship.

Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the organization on product performance, program effectiveness, and competitive activity.

Serve as the focal point for resolution of issues with assigned accounts.

Work with genetic suppliers to understand genetic portfolio opportunities and limitations that will impact customer sales.

Serve on internal teams as subject matter experts to contribute to the success of projects and help to further educate internal stakeholders about the licensing business.

Continue to develop professionally by remaining current with new and competitive technologies and participating in sales management development training.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of associated Corteva products and services.

Manage territory expense budgets – including promotional, travel & entertainment and general business expenses.

Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and records in a safe and proper manner.

Work safely and abide by Corteva Agriscience Core Values, driving, and confidential information policies.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other related field preferred with demonstrated knowledge of agricultural markets

Minimum 10 years of sales and/or marketing experience with proven abilities to:

Sell, negotiate and influence

Build/maintain strong relationships with key strategic customers, key industry/market influencers and internal partners and teammates

Lead/influence and coach individuals in accomplishing defined objectives/goals

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and operate within a budget

Ability to effectively communicate with customers at all levels (management to entry-level roles)

Work in and adapt to a rapidly changing environment

Creative thinking and problem solving aptitude

Ability to travel extensively

Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

This role is also eligible for an annual bonus.
