Position: Track & Trace Implementation Specialist  / Business AnalystLocation: Houston, TX / Occasional travel to Georgia (Travel expenses will be taken care by client)Employment Type: Contract Long term Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled professional with proven experience in Track & Trace (T&T) implementation within Transportation Management Systems (TMS). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in configuring, integrating, and supporting track & trace solutions that enable real-time shipment visibility, order monitoring, and exception management across global transportation networks.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support end-to-end implementation of Track & Trace solutions in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle TMS, SAP TM, Blue Yonder, MercuryGate, or equivalent).Configure and deploy shipment visibility, event management, and milestone tracking features.Integrate T&T solutions with carrier systems, 3PLs, freight forwarders, and IoT/telematics platforms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, supply chain, IT, carriers, vendors) to define requirements and deliver solutions.Support API/EDI integrations for real-time event updates and exception reporting.Develop user training materials and SOPs for track & trace functionalities.Troubleshoot and resolve implementation issues, data inconsistencies, or integration gaps.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for shipment visibility.Provide ongoing support and enhancements for live track & trace operations.Required Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in TMS implementation with focus on Track & Trace or shipment visibility modules.Hands-on expertise with leading TMS platforms (Oracle, SAP, Blue Yonder, MercuryGate, Manhattan, etc.).Strong knowledge of logistics processes: order management, freight execution, carrier tracking, POD (Proof of Delivery).Familiarity with EDI transactions (214, 210, 856, etc.) and API-based integrations.Understanding of IoT and GPS/telematics data integration for shipment visibility.Experience with exception management and event-driven workflows.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.Excellent communication skills for collaborating with business and technical teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience with global/multi-modal logistics (ocean, air, road, rail).Knowledge of supply chain visibility platforms (Project44, FourKites, etc.).Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools for shipment KPIs.Prior consulting or implementation experience in large-scale TMS rollouts.
