Description A company in The Woodlands is looking for a contract Compliance & Ethics Analyst for approximately a 5-month contract (starting in May). If you are interested and qualified in the below, please apply today!JOB SUMMARY: The Compliance Analyst will provide support in the areas of policy and procedures, due diligence, risk assessment, training, internal and external investigations, policy audits, and other key initiatives. The position reports directly to the VP, Compliance & Risk.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in conducting enhanced due diligence for new and existing third-party representatives, business partners, customers, large volume contractors, vessel agents and other third parties to be scoped by Compliance by:

Requesting the Know Your Customer Questionnaire or Due Diligence Questionnaire, and conducting the initial review including checking for completeness and liaising with Commercial Team or Business Unit to gather all required information and documentation.

Assist in gathering information by researching the third party using various sources, including Dow Jones Risk Center, Dun & Bradstreet Finance Analytics, Kpler Risk & Compliance, and Mainstay Pro Vessel Vetting coupled with targeted Google desktop research.

Review and analyze findings for potential red flags or other concerns and document all findings in a full report to the Chief Compliance Officer.

Assist in managing agency and consultancy agreements and ensure compliance with all compliance policies pertaining to third parties. Assist with compliance training and ensure it is carried out effectively within the compliance training platform. Support compliance investigations as necessary, assist with employee and third-party interviews and prepare interview memoranda. Assist with risk assessment exercises including employee interviews, risk identification, remediation, and follow-up. Interface with commercial, operations, internal audit, and procurement on compliance related matters and work with a wide range of individuals including in-house and outside counsel, external vendors, and senior management. Monitor Compliance inbox. Provide support for other Compliance initiatives as assigned. Requirements REQUIREMENTS: An undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university. 2-5 years related experience working in compliance, audit, or comparable field. Excellent MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint abilities. Familiarity with conducting advanced searches on Google and other online search engines. Superior attention to detail; high level of organizational and time management skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks within deadlines. Ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision. Must be willing to learn and able to discern when further instruction and direction is necessary. Professional discretion, attitude, and ethics, ability to handle and protect confidential information with high level of integrity.
