OverviewThe Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services diagnostic imaging women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies) neurosciences pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery pathology and pulmonary services and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.As our Nutrition Assistant I, you will interact daily with patients, families, visitors, and staff. You understand that most guests at our facility dine with us for a reason, and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about.Every day, you will provide nutritious food to patients, families, visitors, and staff to help promote their health and healing. You will follow the standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures for the healthcare food service industry, which includes monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes. Ensures all food handling areas are sanitized and disinfected for the safety of employees, patients, and guests.

Exhibits high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production.

Accurately portions meals and beverages including attention to detail concerning dietary restrictions, while ensuring an aesthetically pleasing presentation.

Supports team members in all areas of food services including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage, etc.

Qualifications in iCIMS:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A Food Handlers Permit is required as outlined below:

Washington - All Counties

Required Within 30-days of Hire:

Arizona - Maricopa and Yavapai Counties

California - Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties

Kansas - Leavenworth County

Kentucky - Jessamine, Fayette, Madison, and Montgomery Counties

Nebraska - Lancaster County

Nevada - Clark County

Oregon - All Counties

Texas - All Counties

Utah - All Counties

Responsibilities
