OverviewRadiation TherapistAs our Radiation Therapist you'll assist Physicians and surgeons with surgical planning needs within 3D services and educate patients regarding simulation, treatment procedures and possible reaction (as directy by physician or nurse).The Woodlands Hospital is a 245 bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around The Woodlands, Texas. We are part of CommonSpirit Health which operates 139 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21 states, making our services accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents.Position SummaryOperates radiation therapy equipment in order to simulate and/or treat patients for malignancies. Operates radiation therapy equipment in order to simulate and/or treat patients for malignancies

Performs patient’s simulations under direction of physician, which includes patient alignment, portal marking and chart documentation

Supply data for and assist in fabrication and/or designs patient immobilization and treatment devices

Coordinates patient simulator/treatment schedules

Participates in the clinical education of radiation therapy students

QualificationsRequired education:

Associate’s Degree

Required Liscensure:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiation Therapy Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

Licensed by Texas Medical Board as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)

Licensed RRT

Experience required:

Five (5) years of experience as a working technologist in related field
