As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world.Job DescriptionTurner & Townsend is seeking an ambitious Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor. Working within our Real Estate Cost Management team, you will be supporting Developers, Manufacturers, Retail, Health and Tech clients.The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven and able to work independently as well as part of a team. In this significant position you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction, embedding, and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.Responsibilities:

Onsite / in-office work is required.

Holistic ownership of monthly cost reports for presentation to the client.

Coordinate cost information to inform the client when making cost related decisions.

Coordinate with the architect and GC to develop cost estimates for additional scopes of work requested by the client.

Review, quantification and negotiation of change orders with the General Contractor throughout the construction lifecycle.

Preparation and ownership of cash flow forecasting.

Review and validate monthly pay applications from the General Contractor.

Review invoicing from design consultants and Client vendors.

Prepare Purchase Requisitions for client approval.

Provide input into value engineering exercises.

Manage Cost impact / contingency management and commitment tracking logs.

Ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed in a timely manner.

Compiling as built cost estimate records for benchmarking purposes.

Qualifications

3 or more years’ experience in the construction industry with a good understanding of the role of a cost consultant.

College degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications.

Advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Drive to be proactive and self-motivated.

The tenacity and ambition to inject value and create solutions.

Ability to develop good working relationships with project teams.

Experience with client specific systems.

Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be a team player.

Passion and enthusiasm for construction and numbers!

Strong analytical skills and proficiency using spreadsheets.

Experience using estimating software, e.g. on screen take off, Revit is preferred.

RICS accredited or working towards accreditation is valuable, but not required.
