Position Overview: The Irrigation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of irrigation systems, including their components and operation. The Irrigation Technician will work closely with the Irrigation Lead and other team members to ensure the efficient functioning of irrigation systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance:
Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems and components, including sprinklers, valves, and controllers.
Conduct routine inspections of irrigation systems to identify and resolve issues.
Program and adjust irrigation controllers to ensure optimal water usage and coverage.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues, such as leaks, blockages, and electrical malfunctions.
Replace damaged or malfunctioning components as needed.
Water Management:
Monitor and adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions, plant requirements, and water usage guidelines.
Implement water-saving techniques and technologies to promote efficient irrigation practices.
Customer Service:
Interact professionally with clients to address their irrigation needs and concerns.
Provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades to enhance performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of irrigation system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
Report any significant issues or recurring problems to the Irrigation Lead.
