We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and participate in E-Verify. has context menu About this RoleThe Contract Manager/Paralegal plays a critical role assisting with customer and vendor contracts, ensuring adherence to legal requirements, and supporting in-house counsel. This position demands an understanding of contracts law and effective collaboration with legal staff. What You'll Do Contract review, preparation and alignment. Draft various vendor agreements (subcontract, material, service). Ensure alignment of vendor agreements with prime contract requirements. Contract lifecycle management. Calendar and manage deadlines Oversee licensing, leasing, and permitting Maintain contract templates and guidelines to ensure compliance consistency. Manage contract modifications, amendments, and extensions as necessary. Assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions. Identify potential risks and legal issues within contracts and propose mitigation strategies. Collaborate with legal counsel to address complex legal matters. Work closely with estimating and project teams to align contract management with business objectives. Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes and drive operational efficiency.What You'll Bring 5 years of experience as a Contract Manager/Paralegal, including experience reviewing, preparing, and managing contracts. Experience in the construction industry is preferred. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in MS Office suite and project management software. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic work environments. Assists the ESH Director with monitoring new legislation that would affect correct safety policies and procedures and proposes necessary changes to policies and procedures. Monitors workers\' compensation issues on Layton projects and works closely with the ESH Director on these issues. Conducts incident review meetings with project managers, superintendent, and foremen, and involved employees to debrief and to train on future accident avoidance. Monitor and follows through on Layton safety issues at project sites. Oversees monthly audit program to document compliance to standards and safety program effectiveness. Implement training program through the company to achieve desired results of injury free environments and to achieve OSHA/MSHA compliance. Oversees company incentive program with ongoing input to enhance the program. Participates in pre-construction meetings for assigned business unit projects, highlighting project safety needs and issues. Ensures accident reporting is accurate and prompt with prevention measures implemented. Assists with injury management to ensure industrial medical care is provided with attention given to cost control. Assists project supervision and ESH Coordinators with safety disciplinary measures and enforcement when necessary. The ESH Manager is responsible for safety program development, implementation, and oversight in the assigned operating business units.   The ESH Manager is responsible for field implementation of the safety health and environmental policies and procedures on all assigned projects either directly or through the ESH Coordinator.
