Lovely non profit community center in the heart Burlington is expanding it's food offerings and looking for the right person to support the current school meal program and spearhead this new exciting project! Come and work with our Chef - assist with kitchen tasks, learn about creating wholesome and delicious meals, assist with current food distribution to classrooms, run dishes and end off with a daily kitchen clean. Be a part of the new Cafe soft start, and manage the front end during lunch hour, keeping pastries stocked throughout the day. Looking for some creativity? Optional ability to menu plan, create foodie events and pop-ups, and work on the business model.
Candidate should be personable, hard working, and in good physical health as the job requires a lot of movement on the campus. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast paced environment, can collaborate well with others and is inspired to try new things!
Initial position begins part time at 2.5-3 hours a day, and as the position develops can turn into a 30 hour work week.
