Position Summary: Perform food preparation duties in keeping with company guidelines, assist with functions/events, and assist the kitchen supervisor as needed. Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food in accordance with standard procedures. Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.

Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.

Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.

Take physical inventory according to established schedules.

Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.

Success Clues

Willing to saute/grill/frywhatever it takes to get the job done.

Understand the importance of keeping hot food hot and cold food cold.

Happy to adhere to our recipes and strict sanitation standards.

Take pride in quality food and amazing plate presentation.

Work well in a fast-paced kitchen.

Requirements

Be a vibrant, smart, engaging, fun loving rock star.

High school diploma or equivalent,

1+ yrs previous food service experience, or relevant schooling.

ServSafe certification preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests, and management.

Excellent customer interaction skills.

Basic knowledge of food handling guidelines.

Basic reading, writing and math skills.

Ability to stand for duration of shift.

Ability to safely bend, reach and properly lift cartons/objects up to 50 pounds.
