Seeking a highly motivated, physically fit, and dependable Kitchen Staff member to join our team! This individual will assist in the kimchi production process by chopping and mixing prepared ingredients into a finished batch. Sunja’s Oriental Foods produces natural, fermented products and has been a forerunner in the fermented foods industry since 1994. We have been conveniently located off of I-89 in downtown Waterbury, VT for 30 years!
Kitchen Staff Duties and Responsibilities:
-Chopping and Mixing prepared ingredients for fermentation (primary job task). Mixing is a labor intensive task and requires significant strength and endurance
-Move and store finished containers
-Stock station with job materials
-Clean and sanitize work station after shift
-Maintain a safe and clean workspace
-Adhere to all safety and sanitation requirements
Kitchen Staff Requirements and Qualifications:
-This is a physical labor job. Candidates must be physically fit, with the ability to perform a physical task for the duration of the shift
-A high school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
-The ability to understand and follow instructions or written procedures
-Effective communication skills
-Attention to detail
-Legally authorized to work in the USA
-Food safety / Food service experience a plus
-Ability to work on your feet for entire shift
-Ability to lift 50lbs regularly
