We are seeking a dedicated and organized Kitchen Manager to oversee all culinary operations at our Waterbury location. If you are passionate about food, have extensive kitchen management experience, and possess a keen eye for detail, we invite you to join our team!

Compensation: $55,000-$65,000 per year, plus $3,000 sign-on bonus

Responsibilities:

Order, manage, and rotate products to ensure freshness and quality

Supervise and oversee the preparation and production of Stone’s Throw products, ensuring adherence to recipes and high-quality standards

Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health department and OSHA regulations

Strategically manage product outages by sourcing suitable substitutes

Keep kitchen documentation up to date and promptly report any relevant information

Foster effective communication with all other management through regular meetings and Slack chats

Train entry-level team members in essential kitchen skills, monitor their progress, and enforce corrective actions as needed

Collaborate with the General Manager to schedule back of house staff based on their proficiencies

Lead and guide the back of house team during service preparation and execution

Contribute to menu development, particularly in the creation of small plates, specials, and desserts

Conduct quarterly inventory assessments

Create and update build guides, menu guides, and staff education materials

Qualifications:

2+ years experience in kitchen management

Proficiency in all areas of kitchen operations, including preparation, ordering, cost control, and kitchen management

Expertise in product knowledge and cost-effective ordering practices
