Pomykala Farm is hiring for the 2025 growing season!
Our farm is 70 acres on Lake Champlain, and has been growing produce for local wholesale and retail markets since 1977. We grow fruits, vegetables, cut flower and herbs.
Working on the farm crew, the work is always changing and varied. Below are some common farm tasks:
- seeding
- transplanting
- trellising and pruning greenhouse plants
- weeding
- assisting with irrigation
- assisting with deer fencing barriers
- string-trimming
- harvesting produce
- washing produce
- packing produce
- flower bouquet arranging
- delivering to restaurants
Farm crew members work in the greenhouses, fields and packinghouse. Farming is a hard physical job, working outdoors in all conditions. (Hot days, cold days, rain, sun). Having a set of rain gear and mud boots is recommended. Sunscreen too.
Full time, part time, and evening shifts available. Our work day starts at 7am.
Working knowledge of tractors, equipment, farm implements and basic shop tools is a plus. A curiosity for problem solving is a plus. There is opportunity to learn welding, fabrication, construction, and engine repair.

We hire seasonally from April - November, and there are opportunities for year round work for those with mechanical and handyman type experience.
