Hey there, problem-solver extraordinaire! The Shearer Automotive Group is on the lookout for a Service Advisor to join our busy Service Team. If you've got top-notch customer service skills and can deliver a customer experience that's so good, they'll think their car's been on a spa day, we want to hear from you!
As a Service Advisor, you'll be the friendly face customers rely on. You'll chat with them about their car troubles, recommend solutions, and schedule the magic to happen in our service bays.
Job Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner.
Obtain vehicle information.
Detail customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
Provides complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
Establishes promised time, checking with foreman or dispatcher.
Establishes customer's method of payment, obtains credit approval, if necessary.
Monitors progress of repair throughout the day.
Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
All other duties as assigned.
Education and Requirements:
Maintain positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Be detail oriented and able to work in fast paced environment.
Ability to use PCs, printers, and related equipment
Knowledgeable of automotive repair and parts
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with CDK preferred.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
