Description We are accepting applications for the role of an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The role is based in Alexandria, Virginia, and is within the CPA Firm industry. In this role, you will be tasked with monitoring company accounts, maintaining customer records, and addressing customer inquiries. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage the company's accounts receivable and identify accounts that are overdue. Engage with clients who have overdue accounts, with the aim of collecting the overdue amount or establishing a payment plan. Keep a record of activities related to contact with clients who have overdue accounts and payments collected. Work closely with the principals and the controller of the firm on collection efforts, providing regular updates and reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress. Strive to reduce the overall delinquency rate to maintain industry average or better days in Accounts Receivable for the firm. Uphold excellent client relations through detail-oriented conduct. Assist with automation and consolidation of accounts receivable through payment portal platforms. Contribute to the development and enhancement of collection strategies. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory for this role. Extensive knowledge and experience in Accounting Functions is required. Must have a strong background in handling Accounts Receivable (AR). Experience with Billing Functions is necessary for this position. The candidate should have a strong skill set in Collections. Experience in Collections - Consumer is a plus for this role. B2B collections experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with Accounts Receivables Systems is a must for this position.
