Alexandria, VA, USA | Full Time Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Senior Systems Engineer JHNA is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our OUSD government customer. The position supports Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E) Principal Director for Integrated Networks/Systems of Systems, specifically NC3. Additionally you will be supporting the NC3 communities' efforts to improve and modernize the technology and architecture to support nuclear missions and insure technology dominances and nuclear deterrence. This position will require on-site presence 4-5 days per week in the Mark Center Building located in Alexandria, VA. Roles/Responsibilities:

Support the identification of new R&D efforts of non-traditional material solutions for NC3 Enterprise gaps and requirements that are unaddressed by any ongoing R&D efforts.

Participate in three to four NC3 working meetings per week.

Provide weekly highlights to government officials.

Assist with development of talking points / info papers to senior R&E leadership.

Interface and collaborate with A&S for the NC3 Capability Portfolio Management Process and support the NC3 Capability Portfolio Guidance (CPG) process.

Develop NC3 modernization maps.

Support the NC3 Technology Development Plan (TDP).

Assists in hosting NC3 Research and Development Working Group (RDWG).

Required Experience/Qualifications:

Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI)

Bachelors or Masters Degree in a STEM field

Minimum 20 years of work experience.

Strong oral and written communications skills.

Desired Experience:

Expert in NC3 systems, mission threads, and technologies applicable to the NC3 mission.

Experience with: National Event Conferences, Continuity of operations (COOP)/Continuity of Government (COG), National Military Command Center (NMCC) and/or National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC).

Experience supporting the White House Communications Agency (WHCA).

Expertise in Dynamic Mesh Networks, especially as they pertain to NC3.

Expert in developing system solutions to complex and challenging DoD problems.

Experience leading planning/execution of complex mission and system analysis efforts.

Experience leading Systems Engineering (SE) tasks including Technology Analysis and Assessment, System Definition, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture development and architecture products for Systems of Systems (SoS), kill chain analysis, SE tradespace and analysis to define capability gaps, Modeling and Simulation activities for mission improvement, and Logistics support of Department of Defense (DoD) systems.

Experience in supporting technical, managerial or operational fields and have expert credentials or be recognized as an authority and have the mature judgement required to advise senior government personnel.
