Ashburn Consulting is seeking a JR Network Engineer to join our team ON-SITE in Arlington, Va. Supporting Arlington County Government. Candidates must be local to the DMV area and be able to commute to the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, Va, 5 Days a week. REQUIREMENTS: Assist with the physical deployment of network equipment Will be on on-site (after hours support as necessary) to rack and stack network Equipment (Network, Power systems, and any peripheral equipment) Will ensure fiber and copper cabling is well organized with adherence to best standards Perform Network Room Readiness Assessments to ensure appropriate power, cabling types, lengths, optics, rack layout, room layout, etc. Create rack elevation diagrams for physical deployment Assist with the commission and decommission of hardware according to County standards (Network, UPS, Server, Firewalls, etc.) Deploy baseline hardware to include performing essential code upgrades on hardware, establishing management network connectivity for configuration and logical deployment Work closely with Project Managers and Lead Engineers teams to provide successful implementation
