The Application Developer will design, configuration, develop and deploy complex solutions and
ensure these solutions are aligned with the County's technology objectives and strategies. This
individual will collaborate with the O365/SharePoint Manager to support current Microsoft
technologies and with the Agile Application Development Manager to suggest innovative
approaches to proposed business initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a seasoned application developer with the ability to
manage multiple, concurrent, high-visibility projects at once. This individual has strong written
and oral communication skills, critical thinking skills, and has an in-depth understanding of
Cloud technology, application programming, database and system design, as well as Internet,
Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures. Specific duties include:
Developing technical applications using SharePoint, .Net Framework, ASP.NET, C#, SQL
Server, JavaScript, Microsoft VisualStudio, Dynamics CRM, Microsoft PowerPlatform,
Microsoft Azure;
Providing consultation and hands-on implementation support related to O365 products;
and
Leading efforts to design, develop, implement, and administer collaboration portals,
enterprise searches, business processes, and business intelligence solutions using O365
technology; and
Working in an Agile development environment
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or
related area plus considerable experience in the following areas:
Developing technical applications using SharePoint, .Net Framework, ASP.NET, C#,
JavaScript;
Deploying O365 and new feature sets from Microsoft;
Developing relational databases using SQL Server or similar software product; and
Working in an Agile development environment.
Substitution: Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the education requirement
on a year-for-year basis.
Desirable: Preference may be given to candidates with experience utilizing Microsoft Azure,
Microsoft PowerPlatform, Micrsosoft CRM and/or using SQL Server. All applicants must answer the following questions:
