DescriptionDevices and Services Trust and Privacy (DSTP) is responsible for maintaining and raising the trust bar for Amazon customers across a diverse set of 30+ Devices and Services (D&S). DSTP offers horizontal services for builders to ensure trust, privacy, and accessibility is built into our products and services. We also build customer-facing capabilities that provide customers with control and transparency and reduce privacy risk, while enabling partner teams to innovate with appropriate guardrails for content moderation, privacy, accessibility, and trust.DSTP is seeking a Privacy Policy Manager responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating internal privacy policies and standards within the Devices & Services business. The ideal candidate should feel excited and empowered to solve complex problems to protect customer privacy, integrate customer trust into everything we do, hold control owners accountable for enforcement, and assess, record, track, and report requirements health to senior leaders.Key job responsibilitiesYou will work with builder, engineering, product, legal, PR, marketing, and other privacy and security teams across Amazon to:
Draft, publish, and regularly update policies and standards that define our privacy positions
Conduct change management to ensure awareness and implementation of privacy policy requirements
Interpret and apply privacy policy requirements to the Devices & Services business
Administer a privacy policy exception management process
Integrate privacy policy requirements into services and processes
Monitor privacy regulations, industry frameworks and best practices, and business developments to update or create privacy policy and standards as needed
Contribute to the development of Devices & Services' overall privacy strategy and vision
Raise business awareness of privacy policy requirements
Assess and monitor the health and performance of privacy policy requirements implementation
A day in the lifeThis is an inherently cross-functional role where you will work directly with engineers, product managers, policy and compliance specialists, legal, PR, marketing, and other Amazon builders to help them identify the need for new or changed privacy policies and hold them accountable for implementing mechanisms to enforce them. You will use your investigative and/or analytical experience and demonstrate your prowess and experience in writing and driving alignment among diverse stakeholders. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with fast delivery time, rapid iteration, and data-driven decision-making.About the teamThis role is a part of Trust Fundamentals’ Privacy GRC team within DSTP. 3+ years of compliance experience
Experience working directly with senior leaders
Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining privacy policies
Ability to translate complex requirements into simple and clear language
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of privacy compliance experience
At least 1 International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certification
Experience working for a technology company
JD, Master’s degree or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $99,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $164,800/year in our highest geographic market.
