DescriptionThe Leidos Innovation Center is seeking Software Engineer Intern in Arlington, VA to perform real-time software development and integration tasks in support of research and development projects related to electronic warfare. This work may also encompass a number of other areas including modeling and simulation, and machine/deep learning. Candidates will be expected to apply existing knowledge and acquire new skills to help solve complex problems, all while gaining experience in the development and delivery of software solutions for U.S government customers.Primary Responsibilities:
Work within a multidisciplinary team to design and develop software solutions, document results and findings, support test and integration of software systems.
Apply previously acquired skills and knowledge to research and development tasks.
Effectively communicate with engineers regarding current tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in degree program and pursuing B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Experience with C programming through course work, lab projects, and previous internships.
Experience with MATLAB and/or Python programming languages.
Demonstrate problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance- US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with machine/deep learning
Experience with modeling and simulation
