Description We are offering an opportunity for a Data Center Technician to join our team in Ashburn, Virginia. The role primarily involves working in our data center, with duties encompassing both hardware and software components, as well as cabling. This role is a contract employment opportunity within the Data Center Operator industry.Responsibilities: Work within our large data center, ensuring optimal operation and maintenance Gain hands-on experience with a variety of hardware and software tools Play a crucial role in cable installation and management, ensuring a well-structured and organized data center Utilize your knowledge of Microsoft and Cisco Hardware to solve technical issues as they arise Work with the Storage Area Network (SAN) to manage stored data effectively Contribute to our team's understanding of NOC and Cable Assemblies, sharing your expertise and learning from others.Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a NOC Technician Proficiency in working in a Data Center is required Experience with Cable Assemblies and Cable Installation is necessary Applicant should have strong skills in using Microsoft software and tools Familiarity with SAN - Storage Area Network is essential Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required Applicant must have the ability to work in a team as well as independently Readiness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, is necessary A relevant certification or degree in IT or related field is desirable.Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
