Description We are seeking a Financial Aid Representative to join our team located in Chantilly, Virginia. This role involves assisting students with various methods of payment and answering their queries related to University policies and procedures. The position is a contract to hire employment opportunity offering long-term stability.Responsibilities: Handle student inquiries through phone and email, providing appropriate solutions that align with our guidelines and procedures. Assist students in understanding and navigating various financing options. Collaborate with Financial Aid Advisors to support day-to-day activities. Manage both inbound and outbound student outreach to maintain queue volume. Update, maintain, and document student records in conjunction with Financial Aid Advisors. Work closely with the Financial Aid Support Team to identify trends and root causes of issues pertaining to student needs. Process payments and update student records accurately. Maintain a strong understanding of University systems, University Policy, and Federal Financial Aid regulations. Utilize self-service reporting and tools to monitor and share data. Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Prioritize the needs of the students, striving to provide an excellent student experience. Develop positive working relationships and foster a collaborative environment with students, staff, and leadership. Effectively prioritize and manage a variety of daily activities.Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook Experience in Call Center Customer Service Strong customer service skills Ability to handle data entry tasks efficiently Exceptional skills in Typing and Typing Data Entry Experience in answering multi-line phone system Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure Knowledge of financial aid processes and procedures would be advantageous High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education would be a plus.
