RCS is seeking aGeospatial Information Systems Supportto support the program manager with operational support, database support, collaboration with other operational teams, briefing customers, and development and execution of strategy for complex technical solutions that are widely used and relied upon. The work will be performed within a team environment. Need polished skills in concept development and execution while managing a moderate, fast-paced workload. This position requires the candidate to work onsite in Chantilly, VA. Relocation assistance is not available. What you will do:
Work closely with the Sponsor team as well as corporate and community-wide customers; however, the Sponsor project manager will manage the priorities
Work with customers to translate operational needs into technical requirements
Track program progress, risks, issues, and dependencies
Serve as a geospatial technology and mobile SME
Research, identify, bulk process and manage unique geospatial map and imagery content based on Sponsor requirements
Develop code, algorithms, models, and scripts to automate data processing workflows using PowerShell, Python, AutoIt, Windows batch, and Linux shell
Support technical meetings with vendors to communicate program and mission requirements and provide technical advice and direction based on practical knowledge of mobile phone hardware, mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), software (commercial, FOSS, and GOTS), and security mechanisms
Interact with the Sponsor’s Enterprise teams to integrate Sponsor’s geospatial mission data within a common, enterprise web application, to include system administration, database administration, file, and access management functions using Amazon EC2, S3, and related services
Required Qualifications/Education:
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Strong knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services
Oversight of IT development teams
Providing technical support and training to a broad client base
Understanding emerging technical trends
Systems engineering
Systems integration
Supporting technical operations
PowerShell, Python, AutoIt, Windows batch, or Linux shell to develop code, algorithms, models or scripts
Automating data processing workflows
Practical knowledge of mobile phone hardware, mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), software (commercial, FOSS, and GOTS), and security mechanisms
System administration, database administration, file, and access management functions using Amazon EC2, S3, or similar services
Nice to Have Qualifications:
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Creating test plans and documenting process and procedures
Tool idea conceptualization and requirements design
Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms
Advanced degree in Geographic/Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or similar
