Title:Senior Manager of Business Development - Capture & Solutions ArchitectKBR Is seeking a Sr. Manager of Business Development - Capture & Solutions Architect (Operations) to join the Government Solutions US - Defense Systems Engineering, Naval Solutions Division. The selected candidate will lead a diverse team of professionals supporting domestic and international customers. Candidates should be prepared to excel in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. This is a flexible Hybrid/Remote role; travel required- 10%.KBR’s Defense Systems Engineering (DSE) business unit provides technical, engineering, and scientific solutions to the Department of Defense for missions that matter. We are looking for a high-energy, respected leader who is well-versed in government contracting and capable of leading the growth of the company’s Naval Solutions (NS) Division.This senior management position will directly report to the Naval Solutions Vice President, with tangential reporting to the DSE Business Development Vice President. This position is responsible for developing and executing the division’s growth strategy, including coordinating all recapture activities (Keeping It Sold) and leading all IDIQ task order development under a Four Disciplines of Execution (4DX) process. The successful candidate will interact directly with each of the Naval Solutions Operating Unit Directors and other functional support business partners in a matrixed organization.As a Sr. Manager of Business Development - Capture & Solutions Architect, the successful candidate will conceptualize, develop, communicate, and propose solutions to drive growth and lead directly to top and bottom-line results. The successful candidate will work with clients in both a long-lead and tactical capacity to help solve their critical needs and challenges and help define client requirements for solutions, including services, products, technologies, and capabilities encompassing related engineering and scientific disciplines.RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

Develop and execute growth strategies for DSE that result in above-target revenue, operating income, and operating margin.

Lead Business Development for an organization that provides systems engineering, acquisition support, digital engineering, DEVSECOPS, prototyping, integration, and support services primarily focused on Navy domestic and FMS (Foreign Military Sales) customers.

Lead an integrated, high-performing BD organization working in close partnership with operational and functional teams.

Lead the development and implementation of a successful growth strategy across the Naval Solutions (NS) portfolio.

Lead development and sustainment of re-competes and new business development.

Act as a solutions architect for Naval Solutions (NS) capture efforts. Provide strategy, win themes, and solutions to increase the Proposal Win (Pwin) of opportunities.

Lead an organization to achieve target new business and recompete win rates.

Develop and sustain strategic relations with key customers, competitors, and teammates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree plus 15 years of experience in operational/business development capacity or 20 years of successful capture experience in lieu of degree.

Proposal experience leading development for DoD (Department of Defense) proposal responses.

Strong familiarity with FAR-based procurements for highly technical services, solutions, and products for task order and single-award contract procurement approaches.

Demonstrated experience conducting and facilitating proposal value propositions, Color Team Reviews, direct customer engagements, and capture strategy meetings.

Experience in strategy development and execution, leading to crucial market penetration and growth in key market share.

Experience and success winning large, complex government engineering, IT, or mission support programs based on the Shipley proposal development management process.

The ability to obtain a national security secret clearance.

Experience using Salesforce Systems.

Strong writing skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Master’s Degree (Technical or Business/Management)

Deep mission domain familiarity with Navy systems and customers.

Experience leveraging Business Intelligence data to inform business strategy using data analytics, ML, or AI.

Prior success in growing a DoD business combining successful retention of the base, execution of key take-away opportunities, and progressive engagement resulting in sustained growth in re-capture value with key customers.

Demonstrated understanding and experience working with a capture team creating winning Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), OASIS, and FEDSIM proposals.
