Our work depends on Solutions Expert joining our team to possess strong knowledge of information technology and solutions; and have significant experience designing and developing technical solutions, including data center infrastructure modernization, consolidations, and migrations.HOW A SOLUTIONS EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Supports capture and proposal efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business by developing technical solutions for capture strategy and proposal responses.

Perform solution scans and designing and estimating the cost of technical solutions that satisfy the requirements of growth opportunities Work with the customer and project staff to facilitate IT strategic planning.

Act as the primary technical resource for the business area director.

Work with business area directors and other division growth solution architects to develop and grow our technical enterprise, support strategy and develop teams to support smaller business area lead growth opportunities.

Provide thought leadership and technical support to assist business areas and programs in retaining and growing both new and current work.

Provide business area and sector and leadership feedback by measuring the success of delivery and organic growth initiatives.

Coordinate “reach back” with technical subject matter experts (SME) within GDIT to obtain specific knowledge or expertise to address technical issues.

Respond to technical questions and research requests from customers and programs. Perform business case analysis to support decision making process.

Build and maintain relationships across all GDIT business units to ensure alignment with program capture, program execution, and other line of business services.

Understand impact of internal decisions on customer, vendor relationships and plans accordingly.

Build and maintain relationships with key vendor partners to incorporate technology and capability. Sector growth pipelines.

Actively identify, monitor and incorporate industry.

Balance the resource assignments of team to support volume of opportunities within the assigned sector.

Identifies solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements design.

Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposes changes and tailoring where needed.

Assesses the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvement.

Ensures technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objective.

Develops, enhances, and maintains established service design procedure and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies.

Prepares and presents test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefing.

Identifies customer requirements, analyzes alternatives, and conducts product recommendations related to software, platform, and network configuration.

Provides updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objective.

May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professional.

May serve as a team or task lead.

Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science● Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience● Required Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work independently or part of a cross functional team.

Ability to lead projects & provide technical oversight to ensure alignment with strategic goals & objectives.

Maintain technical proficiency by keeping current with the latest technologies, trends, standards, & products.

Strong knowledge of government procurement and proposal processes.

Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions.

Strong communication, presentation, facilitation and writing skills.
