Job Summary: The Commercial Service Electrician provides customer service in the field to install, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of electrical systems in commercial settings. These systems include electrical control, wiring, power distribution, and lighting systems. Diagnoses electrical issues through observation, testing and setup as required.
Handles the following electrical repairs: testing/repair/replacement and general troubleshooting and/or repair of electrical control, wiring, power distribution, and lighting systems.
Performs planned maintenance and inspections as indicated in service agreements.
Completes service contracts, quoted service projects and responds to demand service calls.
Responsible for updating work orders in an electronic work order system.
Develops relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.
Participates in an on-call rotation.
Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on company service vehicle.
Safely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements.
Requirements:
5+ years of relatable electrical experience.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial electrical systems including but not limited to wiring, switches, interior lighting, lighting controls, pole lights, outlets, panels, and low voltage circuits.
Strong knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
Ability to read and understand diagrams and blueprints.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and have good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
