Provides pharmacy services in a specialty area under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner. Demonstrates advanced technical skills and ownership for the work area. Ensures adequate supplies within a specialty area are available for continuous patient care.
Has competent working knowledge in specialty area as identified by Pharmacy specific addendum.
Fills and delivers medications within a specialty area under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner.
Ensures adequate supplies within a specialty area are available for continuous patient care.
Facilitates the training of new employees.
Uses appropriate computers for entry of patient information and label generation.
Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements.
Operates automated dispensing devices/repackaging machine/robots/pumps within specialty area.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $15.37 - $23.82 HourlyMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: High School Graduate or Equivalent requiredExperience: 6 months of experience requiredLicensure: Commonwealth of Virginia Pharmacy Technician License required. PHYSICAL DEMANDSJob requires standing for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs.
