Opportunity for an Oral Surgeon (PRN)JOIN TEAM UPG. The University of Virginia Physicians Group is seeking a PRN Oral Surgeon to work one to two days per month in Charlottesville, a picturesque community that offers a lifestyle second to none.ASPIRE TO WORK WITH THE BEST. This position is ideal for those wanting to be affiliated with the UVA Health System School of Medicine’s Department of Dentistry which provides family dental care, preventive care, periodontics, restorations, obturators, crowns and bridges, endodontics, implants, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. This includes instruction of general practice residents and supervision of residents providing direct patient care.ASPIRE TO PERFORM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. The selected candidate will possess excellent communication skills, is focused on quality dental care, and possesses a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and Virginia certification/licensure.ASPIRE TO LIVE IN THE BEST. Graduate of Accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Completion of Accredited Residency in chosen specialty,

Licensure:

Board certification in specialty (if newly graduated from residency, must be obtained within 2 years of graduation) must be kept current, Unrestricted license to practice within the Commonwealth of Virginia, Current DEA certificate without restriction

Skills:

Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSJob requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs.
