Set up and operate manual milling machines and lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings.
Perform routine maintenance on machines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the quality of finished products.
Ensure proper calibration, alignment, and adjustment of machines according to project specifications.
Choose appropriate cutting tools, drills, and fixtures for each machining task.
Conduct regular inspections of machined components to ensure they meet specified dimensions and adhere to quality standards.
Keep the machining area clean and organized, including routine cleaning of machines and tools.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the successful completion of manufacturing tasks.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
manual lifting up to 44lbs
