Material HandlerJob Summary:As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our shipping and receiving department. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, packaging and unpackaging materials, stocking and pulling parts, and ensuring exceptional service to our customers. In addition, you may operate a forklift to transport goods within our facility. Pay Rate: $19/hr
Roles and Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently unload incoming shipments using a stand-up forklift.
Verify the accuracy of bill of lading and packing list, and unpack incoming shipments.
Collaborate with purchasing and other departments to resolve any discrepancies in packing lists.
Conduct inspections and provide identification for damaged goods, as needed.
Accurately record received materials on purchase orders and distribute copies to relevant personnel.
Ensure timely entry of materials into the ERP system.
Verify the accuracy of outbound shipments and package them securely to prevent damage.
Maintain proper filing and archiving of documents.
Follow all warehouse processes and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Utilize basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends and evenings.
Physical requirements include standing for long periods, walking extensively, kneeling, twisting, and bending.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally more than 100 pounds with assistance.
Demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.
Willingness to learn and cross-train in different functions as needed.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in the language of logistics.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in material handling is preferred.
Proficiency in operating a stand-up forklift is required.
Familiarity or working knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Keen attention to detail.
High School Diploma or GED, along with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
