The primary tasks the associate will perform during his/her work schedule
Effectively execute domestic outbound transportation finance operations, procedures and policies
Support supply chain leadership with robust, timely and accurate financial information, to include the Chief Supply Chain Officer, VP of Outbound Transportation, and all Outbound Directors
Review and recommend outbound transportation strategies to improve cost and service levels to leadership
Lead, prepare and execute annual outbound transportation budget in collaboration with leadership
Execute monthly accrual to a legal, financial and company standard
Manage payables to contract term through agile reporting and aging facilitation
Prepare financial statements and reports by obtaining data from company finance and operational systems
Validate and challenge budget assumptions used by business owners and verify accuracy of the information
Prepare monthly P&L in a timely manner with appropriate narrative and action items, highlighting trends and opportunities
Reforecast and delineate variance(s) as needed to capture and report finance fluctuations, allowing for execution of identified cost avoidance opportunities
Facilitate annual and spot audits in conjunction with internal audit to ensure procedure compliance with controls
Represent outbound transportation in company finance meetings, to include meeting facilitation and presentation
Ensure the proper level of communication and customer service response by the finance team
Establish and report measurable individual and team goals
Motivate and inspire team members for optimal performance and execution
Organize and prioritize workload and tasks for finance team members
Coach and discipline team members
Hire and train finance team associates
Execute performance evaluations, pay adjustments and related bonuses
Complete other various assignments, as required
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.
Bachelor’s degree with a major in business, economics or finance
Five years of transportation finance or financial institution experience
Minimum of three years direct associate management experience
Strong presentation and communication skills to diverse audiences, to include executive leadership
Ability to effectively conceive and manage a budget
Strong mathematical, financial audit and analytical skills
Ability to conceive, develop and implement new ideas, procedures and processes
Ability to work will with people at different levels within and outside of the company
Strong organizational, administrative, written and verbal communication skills.
Extensive working knowledge of the MS Office suite, especially Outlook, Access, and Excel, with the aptitude to learn new applications as needed
Knowledge of transportation software applications from a finance perspective
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously

Should exhibit initiative, dependability, ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Demonstrate a desire to stay aware of and follow new financial policies and procedures
