This role supports the operation, maintenance, and security of Army Information Technology Portfolio (AITP) systems, including NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Mission System Environments.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise-level Windows environments and secure government systems. Working alongside experienced engineers, administrators, and cybersecurity professionals, the Systems Administrator will assist with maintaining system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security requirements, and supporting mission-critical operations. This position offers valuable exposure to enterprise infrastructure, DoD cybersecurity practices, and technologies that directly support Army operational readiness.Job Responsibilities: Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Windows servers, workstations, operating systems, and enterprise applications in accordance with DoD security requirements and STIGs.Provide technical support for hardware, software, user account, and system-related issues across mission-critical network environments.Assist with administering Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and related enterprise services.Monitor system performance, availability, and security, escalating issues as appropriate and supporting timely resolution.Perform routine system maintenance, backups, recovery activities, patch management, and vulnerability remediation efforts.Create, modify, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls in compliance with organizational and cybersecurity policies.Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration records.Collaborate with network, engineering, and cybersecurity teams to support operational requirements and compliance initiatives.Support audits, inspections, and cybersecurity assessments by gathering information and maintaining required documentation.Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee.
