ServiceSource is an organization of talented people who drive innovation, embrace change, and serve humanity.Job SummaryThe Senior Custodian is responsible for performing custodial duties, general direction for custodial crew(s), scheduling of custodial crew(s) minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that the facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The majority of their daily activities will be hands-on working. May at times provide leadership/guidance to the custodians in the absence of the Assistant Project Manager. Successfully obtain an interim and full DoD Secret Clearance. Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

Provide general direction to custodial crew(s) to ensure they perform the full range of custodial duties such as but not limited to, vacuuming, sweeping, trash/recycling removal, restocking supplies, dusting, bed-making (if in dorms) and other cleaning tasks as assigned.

Provide additional temporary supervisory support for custodial employees in various locations throughout assigned buildings, in the absence of the Supervisor.

Receive and review work schedules on cleaning frequencies and adjust as necessary to work around FBI-provided schedules, to meet short and long-term goals.

Review custodial supply and equipment storage areas to ensure a clean and neat appearance, and report needs for additional supplies or equipment to the Supervisor.

Coordinate work schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of the maintenance and care of the buildings and offices.

Additional Responsibilities

Train staff in proper chemical and equipment usage and maintenance.

Secure designated locations.

Open and close, lock and unlock facilities as needed.

Keep records of work completed.

Responsible for the collection of recycling bins located throughout the facility and distributed to the recycling center.

Provide input to Management on performance evaluations and disciplinary matters.

Perform other related responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

Must be able to pass and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance required.

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred

At least one (1) year custodial experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment.

Knowledge of the use of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of chemicals and products.

Strong commitment to high level of service and quality standards.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, develop, and lead teams.

Ability to plan and organize.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ability to build rapport and teams to achieve a common purpose.

Ability to think objectively and solve problems.

The incumbent is required to regularly talk or hear while fulfilling the duties of the job. The incumbent may have to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and push and or pull carts with up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the environment is generally quiet.
