Seeking a creative and energeticTest engineer to lead up the Integration and Test efforts associated with satellite and space flight hardware. The candidate will be knowledgeable of the design, development, and execution of test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry and electrical ground support equipment. The ideal candidate has system level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware and good computer skills as well as the ability to lead a small team of individuals. Daily responsibilities will require test preparation leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware and personnel interactions. Candidate must be able to tackle issues utilizing skills obtained in the field of Electrical engineering, or a related discipline, preferably as it relates to system level integration and test. Required skills include the ability to communicate clearly, and to use critical thinking in troubleshoot of problems. The ability to use a scripting language and formulate automated test scripts is highly desirable. International travel to support launch campaigns may be required. Shift and weekend work to support testingmay be required periodically.Basic Qualifications:Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM discipline and 9 years of Engineering experience OR a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM discipline and 7 years of Engineering experienceThe ability and experience necessary to leadElectrical test programsU.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security clearanceExcellent writing skillsPreferred Qualifications:Active Top Secret clearance with SAP/SAR access highly desirableAerospace industry experienceNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
