Description Job Title: Admissions SpecialistLocation: Fairfax, VAJob Description:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Admissions Specialist to join our team in Fairfax, VA. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in welcoming prospective families, guiding them through our facilities, processing necessary paperwork, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring families are educated about our programs.Responsibilities:

Conduct Family Tours:

Guide prospective families through our facilities, showcasing our amenities, classrooms, and other relevant areas.

Answer questions about programs, curriculum, extracurricular activities, and any other inquiries.

Process Paperwork:

Assist families in completing necessary paperwork for admissions.

Ensure all required documents are accurately completed and filed.

Provide Friendly Customer Service:

Create a warm and welcoming environment for families visiting the facility.

Address inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Educate Clients:

Inform families about the educational philosophy, values, and unique offerings of our institution.

Offer insights into how our programs can benefit their child's growth and development.

Coordinate with Admissions Team:

Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure a smooth transition for families from inquiry to enrollment.

Participate in admissions events, open houses, and other promotional activities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Excellent Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate with families, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Strong presentation skills for conducting tours and informational sessions.

Customer-Focused Attitude:

Prior experience in customer service or a client-facing role is preferred.

Dedication to providing a positive experience for families throughout the admissions process.

Organizational Skills:

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage paperwork, schedules, and tour bookings efficiently.

Proficiency in handling administrative tasks related to admissions procedures.

Knowledge of Education Systems:

Familiarity with educational programs, schooling structures, and child development is a plus.

Willingness to learn and adapt to our institution's specific educational approach.

Team Player:

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in the admissions department and across other departments.

Willingness to contribute to a positive work environment and support team goals.

Flexibility:

Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving needs.

Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events and tours.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous experience in admissions, education, customer service, or related fields is an asset.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
