As a BMC Remedy Helix Lead Developer supporting USPS remotely in the U.S., you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on BMC Remedy Helix Lead Developer joining our USPS Accounting Services Helix engineering team to coordinate, research, design, develop, test, and/or modify BMC Helix/Remedy software and integrated interfaces in a SAAS model.HOW A BMC REMEDY HELIX LEAD DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Provide the technical leadership to the team to migrate the on premises BMC Remedy ITSM version 20.02 to BMC Helix ITSM SaaS cloud version 21.03

Migrate legacy ticket data to the cloud instance based on USPS requirements for retention

Conduct a rigorous assessment of existing USPS Remedy system integrations to ensure migration paths to BMC Helix ITSM

Work with the Helix engineering team and cross-functional knowledge and operations teams to maintain the integrity of multiple Remedy/Helix environments in a cloud environment by utilizing appropriate configuration control practices with defined change management processes

Configuring system integrations and customizations from the legacy on-premises installation to the cloud instance

Be well versed in identifying gaps from out of the box workflow and scoping custom BMC Remedy/Helix solutions for the expansion of this tool into additional functional areas of the program

Proven ability to document requirements, customizations, and changes

Responsible to know and convey ITIL and ITSM process flows within Helix

Work directly with the Remedy/Helix Engineering team on several tasks that include report writing, data analysis, account management, and continual service improvement initiatives

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education:

BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Required Experience:

7+ years of BMC Remedy/Helix experience specifically with BMC Accredited Administrator, Remedy/Helix Developer Studio experience and AWS GovCloud

Required Skills and Abilities:

Experience with BMC Remedy version 20.x or higher

Experience with BMC Helix ITSM Cloud Migration Services

Specialize in one or more of the following: Incident Management, SmartIT, DWP, Knowledge Management, Service Level Management, Foundation Data structures and Data Import Tool, Atrium Core, and/or Smart Reporting

Experience with one or more of the following: Kafka, BMC HDM, RestAPI or Webservices to build and/or maintain system interfaces or migrate data

Experience working in an Agile project methodology environment

The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days within the past five years.
