Niyam is seeking a junior to mid-level Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Fairfax, VA in support of our work with DHS - Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). We offer competitive compensation and benefits. Position can be performed remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic and may require some on-site work after restrictions are lifted.

Qualified candidates must be able to supply proof of ship and be eligible to receive a DHS Public Trust Clearance.

Job Responsibilities:
As part of the Risk MAP CDS Infrastructure Team that maintains and manages multiple environments, applications, and tools for the FEMA Risk MAP program:

• Maintain, manage, and upgrade the Risk MAP environment based upon the needs of the client
• Work within the Agile framework to support several Agile Teams for development, communication, and security objectives
• Communicate needs to various staff with different technical skills
• Diagnose, resolve, and report problems quickly and accurately

Must Have:

• 1-2 years of experience in Windows Server, Desktop, and Vmware Administration to include OS builds and deployment, networking, applications installs, and troubleshooting
• Ability to create scripts in Powershell, Perl, Python, and similar languages
• Understanding of security scanning concepts and reporting metrics from Nessus and other tools
• Experience with patch management and networking
• The ability to self-manage tasks
• Resourcefulness, problem-solving, and good communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have:

• Windows Sharepoint Administration
• Exposure to Redhat Linux Administration, WebSphere application server, WebSphere Portal, WebSphere Process Server, Apache
