Job Description

Your Impact to the Mission:
VMD seeks a talented leader who has a charismatic, energetic, and entrepreneurial personality, as this position will have a direct and purposeful impact on the company’s growth and performance. In this role, you will oversee and help grow a Portfolio of VMD programs at DHS and assist Business Development in identifying and qualifying pipeline opportunities and provide thought leadership regarding emerging technologies and processes such as Digital Transformation, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, Data Processing, AI/ML, and SAFe delivery to enhance VMD customer missions. In this

Director of DHS Developmentrole, you will have the opportunity work on the following:

• Provide high level leadership to achieve and exceed program deliverables.
• Support proposal efforts through solutioning, writing, orals and technical demonstrations.
• Work with Recruitment and Human Capital teams to ensure VMD is attracting and retaining top talent
• Work with Business Development to seek out strategic partnerships that will enable VMD customers’ missions.

Qualifications

Experience Needed to Be Successful:

• 8+ years of directly relevant experience
• Deep customer knowledge and relationships at DHS
• Experience leading enterprise technical programs in areas such as Agile Delivery, Cybersecurity or Data Integration
• Experience supporting and leading solution architecture and proposal efforts
• Working knowledge of container/cloud environments (e.g., Red Hat OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, etc.) infrastructure design, deployment and operational support
• Problem solving skills and proven ability to foster strong relationships

Desired Certification(s):

• Certifications issued by DevOps Institute (e.g., DevOps Foundation, DevOps Leader, DevSecOps Engineer, etc.) or Microsoft (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, etc.

• SAFe Certfications

Desired Skills / Experience:

• Background in the Federal Civilian market
  • Big Plus being DHS experience
• Technical understanding of best practices in Digital Modernization and DevSecOps
• Strong Oral presentation skills
• Strong management background and proven track-record in achieving client deliverables
• Experience with formulating business and technical solutions
