At GDIT, people are our differentiator.The HOM Cloud Project Manager provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or task(s). The Cloud Project Manager reviews the status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. The Cloud Project Manager manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area.HOW THE CLOUD PROJECT MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Primary point of contact for GDIT Cloud efforts with the CMS Financial Management Systems Group (FMSG) leadership, clients and stakeholders

Lead a team of cloud experts in performing a Cloud Migration Application Assessment in the first 8 -10 months.

Transition, lead, and grow the cloud team to implement the cloud migration strategy (20 – 30 months) from the assessment phase.

Lead team of operations, architectural, and development staff covering multiple cloud projects and initiatives.

Support and advise on application assessment, migration, and modernization.

Build assets and services required for the cloud architecture.

Work with the development team to ensure that the architecture will support the proposed applications.

Work with a team of DevOps/SecOps Engineers to architect and deliver Oracle Cloud solutions.

Guides the successful completion of major engineering programs.

Develops advanced solutions to highly complex engineering problems.

Supervises staff, mentor them and grow our people in delivering quality service to clients.

Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.

Perform high level technical services on assigned tasks as required.

Manages risks and issues, track them and get to a closure.

Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.

Coordinates development of deliverables and work products.

Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. Relevant years of work experience may be substituted for a degree.

2+ years of any major cloud experience in a program delivery role.

5 years leadership experience

Expertise in cloud service delivery models

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral to convey cloud technologies and solutions to internal team and customer personnel.

Ability to work within a collaborative team and a fast-paced dynamic environment.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU ALSO HAD:

2+ years’ experience working within a DevSecOps/DevOps environment, utilizing Oracle Cloud services, solutions, and provisioning/automating Oracle Cloud infrastructure (OCI), services, and tools.

Experience with third-party tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible Knowledge of end-to-end modern agile software development.

Any Cloud Certification

PMP Certification

Agile Certification

ITIL Certification

LOCATION: Remote

Ability to travel to Windsor Mill, MD as requested for critical Cloud assessment, design, solutioning and implementation meetings and also internal team and customer meetings.

CLEARNACE: Public Trust

Ability to obtain a Public Trust: candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) of the last five (5) years and will be required to pass a public trust background investigation.
