Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal/Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division. This position can be based out of Fairfax, VA.The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for integrating development pipelines, leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks. The candidate will ensure implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code qualify, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.The requisition may be filled at either the Principal or Senior Principal grade based on the qualifications listed below.Basic Qualifications: Principal: Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience; master’s degree with 3+ years, PhD 0+ years or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree. Sr. Principal: Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience; master’s degree with 6+ years, PhD 3+ years or 12 years of related experience in lieu of degree. US Citizenship with ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance Experience with developing and deploying CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, GitLab, or similar Experience in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives Experience communicating work products to external stakeholders Experience with deployment automation scripting using Ansible, Helm or related products Experience troubleshooting virtualization, automation, and deployment applications Experience with Linux Operating Systems Preferably RHEL 8/9 Experience with bash scripting Experience managing virtualized compute with terraform (VMWare, Proxmox, etc.) Experience managing containers using container orchestrators like Docker, Kubernetes (K8s)Preferred Qualifications: Active TS/SCI, granted or re-investigated within the last 6 years or in continuous evaluation Active security+ certification Experience with Agile Development Experience managing source code in Git Knowledge of security compliance standards Experience in multi enclave security environments Knowledge of basic networking principles (subnets, VLANs, routing, and firewalls)Salary Range: $107,300 - $160,900Salary Range 2: $133,000 - $199,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Required Total Years of Experience: 10 years Required Education: Master\'s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technical equivalent. 10 years of experience can be accepted in lieu of education (20 years total) Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience developing test scripts, test cases and test plans and automated testing that are in alignment with Business-Driven Development/Test Driven Development (BDD/TDD) for front-end applications Experience with integration and API testing, test methodologies, QA process, and the software release cycle 5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies Ability to apply appropriate test methodologies including writing test plans and test cases 5+ years of experience with test automation tools, open source, and COTS test automation frameworks, including Postman, Bruno, and ReadyAPI Experience and/or willingness to mentor junior QA\'s as needed Ability to obtain VA Public Trust-Background Investigation clearance Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technical equivalent Nice If You Have: Experience working for the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs Experience managing a team of junior QA\'s Vetting: Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.
