Our work depends on a ServiceNow Technical Lead joining our team to analyze design, develop, implement, and support code for our government customer, the United States Postal Service.HOW A SERVICENOW TECHNICAL LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Act as a technical leader and subject matter expert across all aspects of the ServiceNow platform for USPS Enterprise Technology Services

Ensure ServiceNow best practices are implemented and recommend out of the box solutions where appropriate

Lead upgrade initiatives and ensure platform currency

Ensure proper documentation of ServiceNow solutions according to standards

Keep up to date on ServiceNow functionality and make recommendations on how new features can be used to enhance business processes

Continuously improve methods and practices to achieve increased quality and value delivery

Analyzes systems and procedures to refine their formulation and converts them to programmable formats

Writes or updates software specifications

Creates logical data models based on functional requirements

Performs quality assurance review of specifications for internal and external delivery

Troubleshoots and provides technical support and solutions to users

Develops analytical tools for use in the design and redesign of systems

Analyzes detail systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and reliability characteristics

Prepares and updates documentation for new or existing systems

Monitors system effectiveness in satisfying user needs

May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education :

Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline; OR the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Required Experience :

8-12 years' of related professional work experience

5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Team Lead with a primary focus in knowledge of ServiceNow Architecture and software requirements

Required Skills & Abilities :

Proficient in the following qualifications:

Experience with ServiceNow development with knowledge of code best practices

Knowledge/experience with functional and technical knowledge of ServiceNow platform and architecture

Effective liaison leading technical development teams

Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices

Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead discussions across multiple groups

Oral and written communication skills including presenting to management

Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies

Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.)

Problem/Risk Management

MS Office Suite

Security Clearance Level :

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.
