Responsibilities Responsible and accountable for supervising and coordinating the full range of security disciplines Physical Security (PhySec), Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), Operations Security (OPSEC) and Security Guard (SG) program. Advise all security capabilities to accomplish objectives as set forth, indicating areas requiring assistance or revision and de-conflicts competing priorities to align with the Director’s priorities. Evaluate the effectiveness of the organizational elements in terms of mission accomplishment and technical competence Assess threats to agency personnel, beneficiaries, and facilities, and presents mitigation strategies to senior civilian and military officials, consistent with DoD policy, that reduces threats to an acceptable level or eliminate completely. Implement the Interagency Security Committee (ISC) physical security standards across all DHA leased facilities and Community Based Medical Centers. With the advice and assistance of Human Resources, Manpower and internal security specialists, promotes sound position management principles and programs. Provide advice and counsel to employees relative to work and administrative matters. Management and oversight of the Armed Guard Force consisting of over 450-armed security guards assigned to MTF’s across the country.
