Summary Serves as the Executive Officer (XO) in the Headquarters (HQ), Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Command Group, Officer of the Deputy Director. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Executive Officer (XO) to the Deputy Director/Chief Operating Officer of the Agency. Provides direct support to the Director by assisting in management and direction of line and staff programs and activities Responsibilities The Executive Officer performs a wide range of executive-level, critical administrative assignments while assisting the Deputy Director in working with DeCA managers at all echelons, and with officials of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (OASD) and Department of Defense (DOD), external customers and stakeholders to achieve the Agency\'s mission, functions and program objectives. Plans, evaluates, integrates and coordinates the activities of multiple line and staff organizations with the Agency. Provides direct support to the Deputy Director by assisting in management and direction of line and staff programs and activities. Controls the Deputy Director\'s administrative actions, routing/coordination of staff actions, calendar supervision, etc., to ensure accuracy, timeliness and successful completion of actions affecting key Agency programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Summary About the Position: Serves as a training specialist performing a variety of analytical, planning and related tasks concerned with collective and unit training of Active and Reserve Component Sustainment personnel and organizations in garrison and field environments.
