Senior Accountant IJob DescriptionThe Senior Accountant I is responsible for managing complex spreadsheet-based processes and applying financial accounting concepts for the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger. Key responsibilities include maintaining amortization schedules, reclassing between prepaid and accrued accounts, managing the account reconciliation process, forecasting and budgeting, collaborating with IT to develop financial systems, and maintaining clear lines of communication with both internal and external partners. The role requires completing these tasks with limited supervision and operating in a time-sensitive environment. Additional duties involve managing spreadsheet-based calculations for journal entries, analyzing balance sheet account balances, collaborating with Finance to identify variances, updating and maintaining internal control processes, and taking ownership for process improvements.Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance

3-5 years of Accounting Experience involved in Month End Close, Balance Sheets, Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Accruals

Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros)

Experience with NetSuite/Oracle

Ability to operate with limited supervision

Strong communication skills

Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements
