Job Title: Audit SpecialistJob DescriptionRole Responsibilities: Region Dealership Inventory Audits: Acting at the direction of the Senior Manager, Commercial Credit, coordinate and execute the region’s inventory audit function for all region accounts in accordance with Risk Management Policy. In conjunction with Commercial Credit Analysts (CCA’s), develop and carry out the audit function in accordance with VCI policy. Manage audits conducted at wholesale dealerships to ensure that VCI financed assets (vehicles) are present or otherwise accounted for. Manage relationship with external audit service providers (DataScan).o Coordinate with external audit schedulers to ensure proper rotation of auditors, randomness, and timeliness of audits.o Field daily reporting and ‘close out’ calls with external auditors.o Review audit results with auditors to determine compliance with audit procedures and payment policies; take immediate measures as required to obtain payments to the company for sold vehicles.o Follow up with vendor’s client services team on all areas of noncompliance and audit-related issues. Quickly and completely communicate major areas of concern relative to dealership financial situations to Risk and Sales Leadership for actions on their part. Review audit results with dealership staff to confirm results and payment due dates; identify follow-up issues. Upon completion of each audit, prepare and distribute audit summary reports including recommendations for immediate action as needed to protect the financial interest of the company. Prepare physical audit package and checklist for CCA/SMCC review and signature and coordinate closure of individual audits within the Ai system. Maintain documentation on collateral audits and provide feedback to Commercial Credit Analysts on audit results. Provide strategic input into action plans that address account dealers with unacceptable audit results. Develop and maintain professional and effective business relationships with dealer staff.Mitigating Actions / Counter-Measures: Analyze and Understand Dealer Payment Trends and Dealership Operations. Monitor the financial condition of the borrowing dealerships as related to the repayment of loaned monies for the purpose of financing vehicles purchased for inventory. Assist Region Team through analyses of dealer financial positions and trends to facilitate effective business decisions and relationships and protect company assets. Develop and maintain active trending/analytical reports to support Region awareness and action in response to identified deteriorating accounts. Recommend the need for escalated account management efforts including tests of dealership financial data and internal controls. Provide key insights on accounts for use in the execution of account management and work-out plans especially with respect to Watch List accounts. Participate in asset protection and verification activities in conjunction with a test of borrower equity including, but not limited to, participation in Bank Cut-offs, takeovers of new accounts, closing accounts, and used vehicle equity verifications. Assist in the Region’s loss mitigation and containment efforts in the short-term management of financially distressed dealers exhibiting a Sold Out of Trust (“S.O.T.”) condition. Assist in the performance of Equity Verifications to establish the financial solvency and equity position of the S.O.T. account dealers. Assist in the performance of ‘Keeper’ duty and related mitigation tactics to contain default amounts while preserving the collateral assets available to the credit company.Hard Skills

3+ Years' experience in banking or financial services industry

2+ Years' experience in inventory audit, lot audit, or floor plan audit (automotive industry)

3+ Years' experience within MS Office Suite

1+ Year experience analyzing financials of the audit to identify overall health of dealer financials
